PLANT FOR SAND-CEMENT SCREED
PLM-SC is a mobile plant for the production and application of traditional semi-dry sand cement floor screeds. Thanks to its versatility, PLM-SC can apply any type of semi-dry sand cement floor screed, such as fast drying screeds, screeds for under floor heating, fibres containing screeds. The screed is then suitable for laying any type of floor covering such as ceramic tiles, wooden parquets, carpets, linoleum etc.
The plant consists of a cement silo, a sand trough, with their extracting screws, the dosing and the weighing of the components, the mixer and the pump. The complete operation of the plant is automatic and there is no need of an operator standing next to it.

DIMENSIONS AND CAPACITY FOR ALL NEEDS
PLM-SC is available in two versions: the version “Rino”, with the machines between the two containers, and the version “Ippo”, where the machines are located in the rear part of the plant. Both versions are built with the same structural characteristics, included the locking system on the vehicle through twist locks.
The version Rino has a bigger cement silo (7,5 m3). The overall length (8 meter) and the weight distribution make it suitable for a semi-trailer.
The version Ippo is characterized by a high versatility, since the customer can choose between two different sizes of the cement silos (4,2 or 4.7 m3) and two different capacities of the sand container (13,60 or 15,40 m3). The overall length varies thus between 7,35 and 8,00 m, according to the chosen combination. Together with the positioning of the components, this make Ippo fit to a 4 axes truck as well as for a semi-trailer.
LA FORZA DELL'IMPIANTO
PLM-SC stands out because of the exclusive operation, developed by K.G. Bontira, based on a pan mixer before the screed pump: this ensures the evenly mixing of all the components (cement, aggregates, water, admixtures, fibres) before these enter into the pressure vessel. The latter performs then the essential feature of pumping the screed at the best.
The pan mixer enables the screed mixture to be mixed uniformly, distributing the cement and additives evenly through the sand. As a consequence of the more homogeneous and compact structure of the mix, the mechanical strengths are higher at the same cement content. Even the workability of the wet mix is clearly improved so that the trowelling is lighter for the applicator.
EVERYTHING IS UNDER CONTROL
The touch screen control panel allows the setting of the recipe and the automatic dosing of the mix: the components are dosed and loaded into the pan mixer in batches of 260 – 280 kg. All components – cement, aggregates, water, admixtures and fibres – are weighted and dosed. Each single batch is recorded by the system.
Once the mixing is completed – the mixing time can also be set – the material is discharged into the pressure vessel underneath and from there – by means of the compressed air provided by the on-board compressor – conveyed to the application point.
PLM-SC is equipped with the own system – developed by K.G. Bontira – for cutting and dosing the polypropylene fibres delivered in string.
